BIO

Ian Jeffries is a fashion designer, illustrator, and design consultant. His background is ready to wear tailored menswear, accessories, and shoes.

Ian studied at Central St. Martins School of Art. He was awarded a bursary and a place at the Royal College of Art in 1999 and graduated with an MA Hons in Menswear. 
ian won joint first place with Benetton in his first year, and he did an internship in Paris with Louis Vuitton.

Ian was awarded Young Designer of the Year 2001 by FHM magazine. He collected the award from Lady Bamford; her husband was the sponsor. Later, ian worked for the Bamford’s, who were early pioneers of organic and sustainability. ian’s eclectic career experiences come from the broad and diverse range of brands he has worked for: Karl Lagerfeld, Alfred Dunhill, Hackett, Bamford, Neil Barrett, Perry Ellis America, Hanscool, and Figs.

Ian established his own label MARINE GARMENT in 2017, inspired by the classic ubiquitous reversible sailor shirt and his father who was a naval seaman. MARINE GARMENT is represented as part of Fashion Museum Bath’s 2020 Dress of the Year along with John Galliano, Iain R. Webb and Naomi Campbell.
