Biography
Ian Jeffries is a fashion designer, illustrator, and consultant specializing in tailored menswear, accessories, and footwear. A Central St. Martins graduate, he earned an MA in Menswear from the Royal College of Art in 1999. Early in his career, he won joint first place in a Benetton competition and interned with Louis Vuitton in Paris. In 2001, FHM magazine named him Young Designer of the Year.
His diverse portfolio includes work with Karl Lagerfeld, Alfred Dunhill, Hackett, Bamford, Neil Barrett, Perry Ellis America, Hanscool, and Figs. In 2017, Ian Jeffries launched Marine Garment, drawing inspiration from naval uniforms, functionality, and classic workwear. The brand was featured in Fashion Museum Bath’s 2020 Dress of the Year, alongside designs by John Galliano, Iain R. Webb, and Naomi Campbell.
Fun Fact: Ian appears in the opening scenes of Lagerfeld Confidential, styling a Lagerfeld campaign in this intimate documentary on Karl Lagerfeld.
